Georgine Benvenuto is an award winning photojournalist based in Brooklyn, New York.

Her photographs have appeared in newspapers, books, television & film. Her Sept. 11th, 2001 photographs are in the permanent collections of The New York Historical Society and The Library of Congress, and were included in the book Here is New York: A Democracy of Photographs, and in the documentary film 9/12 From Chaos to Community. Also, some of her news coverage photographs were used on an episode of Americas Most Wanted.

Browsing the collections page on this website you will see that no matter the commissioned assignment, or spot news event, Georgine has a sharp eye for detail, an intuitive sense for capturing the moment, and is driven by the need to tell a visual story through her photographs.

Georgine is the founder of Gallery 364, Bay Ridge's First Art Gallery. When she is not on assignment you will find her curating the next art/photography competition at the gallery, or creating workshop studies for art & photography at the school she co-founded, 72nd Street Studios. During the summer months you will find her participating in the outdoor events she co-founded in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, The Summer Art Series at The Narrows Botanical Gardens & The Green Market.

Georgine's first coffee table book is due out in 2013.
